The public list of Certified Orthoptists represents all Orthoptists who are certified to practice and in good standing with the COC.

Orthoptists on the directory below who are listed as “Full Status” orthoptists, are those that pay annual registration fees, maintain continuing education, and actively work within the scope of practice. 

Orthoptists on the directory below who are listed as “Out of Scope” orthoptists, are those that maintain good standing by paying annual registration fees and maintaining CE, but do not currently work within the scope of practice. Orthoptists who are “Out of Scope” for more than three consecutive years must complete a period of clinical re-training and/or re-examination to re-enter practice.
